Twenty years ago, Mary Jo Buttafuoco made headlines when she was shot in the face by her husband's teenage mistress. Now she advocates for people with facial paralysis and other issues.​​
As a result of being shot in the side of the head by Amy Fisher, along with permanent deafness in my right ear and damaged eyesight, the right side of my face is paralyzed. One of the many angels I have met on this journey is Dr. Babak Azizzedeh, who's office is located in Beverly Hills, Ca. He is one of the few plastic surgeons who specializes in treating people with facial paralysis.​
